The Bellefontaine Police Department is pleased to announce our next round of testing for the position of Police Officer.
In order to be eligible to proceed in our process, you must first take the online exam through the National Testing Network. This online registration process is managed by NTN itself, and not managed by the City of Bellefontaine. Each candidate must register themselves on the NTN website at the Bellefontaine Police Department location on their site. After you have successfully passed the written online exam, you must be sure to follow their process to send us your scores. Then, you must have also completed our application. Applications and NTN tests must be completed and returned to the Bellefontaine Police Department by Friday, May 27, 2022 at 4:00 PM to be eligible. Applications are available online here, or by stopping by our agency at 135 North Detroit Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. We can also send you an electronic version upon an email request. Applications may be notarized by our agency, upon request while you’re in-person. Those who successfully apply and successfully pass the NTN test will participate in the physical agility testing. Two practices will be available on June 3 and June 8. The actual test is Friday, June 10, 2022 at 12:00 PM, at the Logan County Fairgrounds. If you have any questions about our process, please contact Lieutenant Scott Marlow at smarlow@ci.bellefontaine.oh.us or by calling (937) 599-1010. The Bellefontaine Police Department is now accepting applications for our next round of testing to help establish our eligibility list. Interested candidates must be at least 20 years of age, and be able to successfully pass the National Testing Network test online.
Candidates should go to the National Testing Network, scroll to the list of Ohio agencies, and then select Bellefontaine Police Department. Our information is there for you to review, as well as the testing information. After you have taken the tests that we require, you’ll get your score immediately through their site. If you pass, you must then send us your score through the NTN site. It will cost you $12.00 to send us your scores. Scores and applications must be received no later than Friday, December 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM. Upon receipt of your scores, the agency will send you the application. Please plan on at least 3-5 business days to complete the application, and return it. In order to take the physical agility test, you must have a physician sign off on a waiver that you can participate. The Bellefontaine Police Department will communicate all other information to you upon receipt of your passing scores. The next physical agility test is set for Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Logan County Fairgrounds. (Time to be determined.) Anyone that has questions, may call Lieutenant Scott Marlow at (937) 599-1010. We’re now expanding our search for qualified candidates to fill our future vacancies! We have joined the National Testing Network! The NTN provides a seamless option for job seekers and for employers to connect.
