As of July 1, 2024, the Bellefontaine Income tax rate is 1.6%. The credit rate (limit) will continue to be 0.666%. The tax rate prior to July 1, 2024 was 1.333% with a credit rate of 0.666%.

The Income Tax Division is responsible for administering the Income Tax Ordinance #15-74A. Employees of the Department of Taxation are available between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to provide assistance to taxpayers in the filing of income tax returns and/or to provide answers to questions relating to the tax.
