To join the team at the Bellefontaine Police Department, you must successfully complete several steps in the hiring process. This process is extensive and is meant to provide the agency with the very best. After the written examination, candidates will then complete an extensive physical agility process. Then, oral board interviews are conducted. A ranking list is established by the Commission. From there, the police deparment administrative staff completes very thorough background investigations. Eventually, select candidates are sent for polygraph examinations and a full phsychological test. Finally, all available information is compiled and a successful candidate is offered a conditional letter of employment. A medical exam will be required prior to appointment.
