On Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 6 a.m., the City of Bellefontaine Water Department will be closing S. Main Street between Chillicothe Ave. and Auburn Ave to make a repair to the roadway. This repair is expected to be completed by 12 p.m. the same day, but may take longer.
Residents are encouraged to utilize the Detroit Street bypass for travel toward the South end of Bellefontaine and the Madriver Street bypass for travel to the North end of Bellefontaine so as to avoid the area during the repair time. The City will be making repairs to water lines that will require road closures on South Main St. from Chillicothe Avenue to Auburn Avenue and W. Columbus Ave. from the alley to Detroit St. Scheduled closures will be during daytime working hours on January 6th and 7th, with traffic maintained during the evening and overnight hours. In addition, there may be some sidewalk closures in the area on an as needed basis.
The City of Bellefontaine's 2019 Leaf Pick Up Schedule begins the week of October 14th on an on-call basis before following a regular leaf pick up schedule starting October 21st.
