D. Myeerah – We experienced electrical problems with the HVAC. We feel it’s under warranty but will know more this week.

A. Pickleball surface is getting worse and should be under warranty. Pat has been communicating with Heiberger Paving.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY:
The City of Bellefontaine Water Department has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the following area due to a water main depressurization event:
Affected Area:
1515 S. Main Street through 1711 S. Main Street
June 1, 2026
Residents in the affected area are advised to:
Boil all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, and food preparation for at least 3 minutes before use.
If your water appears cloudy or discolored, allow cold water to run until it clears.
The advisory will remain in effect until water samples are collected, tested, and confirmed safe by the laboratory.
The City of Bellefontaine Water Department is working diligently to restore normal service conditions and will issue a Boil Water Advisory Lift Notice as soon as test results are received and approved.
Our crews are actively responding to a major water main break in the 1600 block of S. Main Street.
If you experience low water pressure or no water at all, please call the Bellefontaine Water Department at 937-593-6121 and leave your name, address, phone number, and a brief description of your concern.
As a precaution, customers who lose water service or experience very low water pressure should treat their water as though they are under a boil advisory until further notice. Bring water to a rolling boil for at least three minute’s before using it for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, preparing food, or giving it to pets.
Please use extreme caution when traveling through this area and drive slowly through standing water to help keep our crews and the public safe.
We appreciate your patience as our crews work to restore service and make repairs as quickly as possible.
Bellefontaine City Council Rules Committee will meet in Council Chambers on June 11, 2026 at 3:30 pm to discuss draft legislation relating to allowing golf carts on city streets, and any other business that may come before the committee.
Road Closure Update:
W. Chillicothe Ave. between Main St. and S. Detroit St. is now back open to traffic following the completion of a water service line repair.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Logan County effective today, May 26 at 1:44 PM through Wednesday, May 28 at 2:00 AM due to the potential for additional heavy rainfall across the area.
The City of Bellefontaine has already experienced significant rainfall resulting in localized flooding and high water in several areas. While water has receded and in continuing to recede in many locations, additional rain remains in the forecast and conditions can change quickly.
Please use extreme caution and remember:
🚫 NEVER drive through standing or moving water.
Just a small amount of water can stall a vehicle or wash it off the roadway. If you encounter high water, TURN AROUND — DON’T DROWN.
Residents can also help reduce localized drainage issues by:
✅ Clearing leaves, sticks, and debris away from nearby catch basins and storm drains
✅ Securing outdoor items that could wash into drainage systems
✅ Monitoring sump pumps and downspouts to ensure they are functioning properly
✅ Avoiding placing grass clippings or debris in streets or ditches
If you encounter an emergency situation, please call 911. For non-emergency flooding, street, or drainage concerns, please contact the Mayor’s Office.

BOIL ADVISORY LIFTED
May 14, 2026
The City of Bellefontaine Water Department has lifted the boil advisory for the following areas after water samples confirmed the water is safe for consumption:
• 547 E. Columbus Ave.
• 601 E. Columbus Ave. through 705 E. Columbus Ave.
• 113 N. Hayes St. through 236 N. Hayes St.
• 546, 550, and 554 E. Sandusky Ave.
Residents in the affected area may now resume normal water use.
As a precautionary measure, customers are encouraged to:
• Run cold water faucets for several minutes to flush household plumbing
• Empty and discard ice made during the advisory period
• Flush refrigerator water lines and replace water filters if applicable
• Run dishwashers and washing machines through one cycle before normal use
