Grant Street and Center Avenue is Now Open .

The Bellefontaine Income Tax Office is now accepting tax filings and payments as of today, October 16, 2025. The Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) is no longer processing these forms for Bellefontaine. Any forms that were sent to RITA will be forwarded to Bellefontaine to be processed.

At this time, we are accepting payments by check and through the Ohio Business Gateway. Please make sure to attach the FEIN or Social Security number to any payment submitted. Cash payments will be accepted in the office. Payments can be mailed to Bellefontaine Income Tax Department, 135 N Detroit Street, Bellefontaine, OH 43311. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will take payments by credit/debit card and electronically in the near future.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY A boil water advisory has been issued for the following addresses: • 521 E. Sandusky Avenue • 220 Grant Street • 217 Grant Street • 212 Grant Street This advisory will remain in effect until water samples have been collected and results have been reviewed and approved by the Water Department.

Grant Street Road Closure Notice Grant Street will be closed between E. Sandusky Avenue and Nelson Street for water main repair work. The intersection of Nelson and Grant may also be closed to traffic during this time. Please avoid the area if possible and use caution when traveling nearby.

Grant Street and Center Avenue Now Open The intersection of Grant Street and Center Avenue is now open. Water main repair work will continue tomorrow, and additional road closures are expected. Please use caution in the area.

The water main break on Plumvalley Street has been repaired. There is no boil advisory in effect at this time. Plumvalley Street is now open between Clark and West Chillicothe Avenue. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the repair.

City of Bellefontaine Ring of Lights will be held at Blue Jacket Park on October 18th from 7:30pm-8:30pm

Blair Avenue is now open between Rush Avenue and North Park Street.
