The National Weather Service has placed our area under a Level 2–3 severe weather risk for today.
Severe storms are possible from late afternoon into the early evening hours and continuing overnight across the area.
Primary threats include:
💨 Damaging wind gusts (main concern)
🌪️ Isolated tornadoes
🧊 Large hail
🌧️ Heavy rainfall with localized flooding
Residents are encouraged to stay prepared and remain weather-aware throughout the afternoon and evening. Please make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts and warnings, especially overnight when storms may occur while you are sleeping. (The Logan County Sheriff's App is a great resource to receive weather alerts).
Take a few moments now to review your severe weather safety plan and be prepared to take action if warnings are issued.
Stay safe, Bellefontaine. 🚨
