🍂 Fall Reminders from the City of Bellefontaine🚸🌧️
As school starts and the seasons change, we’d like to remind everyone of a few important things that help keep our community safe and clean:
🚗 Sidewalk Safety for Students
Please do not park vehicles on sidewalks. When sidewalks are blocked, children walking to and from school are forced into the street — creating a serious safety hazard. Sidewalks are meant for pedestrians. Let’s keep them clear and safe for our kids!
🍁 Storm Sewer Maintenance
Falling leaves can quickly clog storm drains, leading to unwanted water collection and localized flooding. Take a moment to check the storm sewer near your property and keep it free of leaves, sticks, and any other debris. A little effort goes a long way in preventing big problems.
🛋️ Fall "Cleaning" & Bulky Item Disposal
We’ve noticed an increase in residents placing unwanted furniture and large items at the curb, hoping someone picks them up or that regular trash service will remove them.
Please know:
✅ To properly dispose of bulky items, contact the Utilities Department to schedule and pay for a pickup.
Let’s work together to keep our city safe, clean, and beautiful this fall. Thank you for doing your part! 🍂🏙️
