Title: Water Maintenance Worker (Full-Time Position)
Department: Water Department
Rate of Pay: $22.09 (Probationary)
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of waterline systems.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment necessary for completing various projects.
• Inspecting the water facility on a scheduled basis to ensure proper plant and equipment
operation, and maintaining desired water quality
• Conducting routine water tests to analyze turbidity, pH, and chlorine levels, and
maintaining laboratory charts
• Performing routine mechanical and electrical work for the maintenance, repair, and
installation of pumps, motors, feeders, and related equipment
• Additional responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining vehicles, grounds,
equipment, and the maintenance shop.
• Responsible for preparing records detailing work completed, time spent, materials used,
and other documentation.
• Complete service tickets, leak tickets, water meter repair, activate and deactivate water
service accounts.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or Equivalent
• One (1) year of experience performing semi-skilled labor and operating light motorized
equipment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Must have the ability to acquire a valid State of Ohio Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL) and must remain insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy
