CITY OF BELLEFONTAINE DRIPS AND DROPS

INCOME TAX COLLECTIONS

New for the City of Bellefontaine Income Filers- In 2026 all tax filings will be made with the City of Bellefontaine Income Tax Department. There will be online filing available to file individual and business income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and withholding payments. Please be aware that the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) will NOT be processing these filings. We are still in the process of setting up our tax program, but it will be available in January 2026. You will also be able to file your returns at the Tax Office window with the appropriate tax paperwork.

Cold Weather Tips - To prepare for cold weather, keep water flowing by letting faucets drip, insulate pipes in unheated areas, and seal drafts to prevent freezing. Open cabinet doors to expose pipes to indoor air, keep garage doors closed if water lines are inside, and maintain a consistent thermostat setting, at least 55° F, especially if you leave town. Remember to remove hoses from outdoor faucets and disconnect the water supply to them before freezing temperatures arrive.

Make paying your utility bill easy - sign up for ACH Automatic Direct Bill Payments. Your monthly invoice amount/balance will be deducted on the 15th of each month (the due date) or if the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, it will be the following business day. Visit www.ci.bellefontaine.oh.us for more information, or the sign-up form is available in the Utility Office.
