Mark Fissel began his first
term on City Council in January of 2008. He is
currently the Chairman of the Streets Committee as
well as serving on both the Finance and Audit
committees. Mark has also been appointed as the
council representative to the regional CIC board.
Mark and his wife, Stephanie,
have lived in Bellefontaine the majority of their
lives. They moved to Atlanta, Georgia for a brief
stint with Siemens Energy and Automation and then on
to Amberg, Germany for a year. Upon returning, Mark
became very interested in the future of
Bellefontaine. He is currently active as a board
member for the YMCA, Downtown Bellefontaine
Partnership and the Logan County Chamber of
Commerce. Mark enjoys working in the family business
at Fissel Floor Covering in Bellefontaine.
Mark and Stephanie are excited
to have a new healthy boy as they begin their
family. They currently reside at 225 Bent Pines
